This isn’t the ARTbop review of last night’s performance of KISS THE FISH, the Indian Ink Theatre Company, that’s coming later! This is to tell you that the masked, comedic performance is on again tonight Friday 5th and Saturday 6th June at Baycourt, Tauranga (before it moves on to Gisborne, Christchurch and Dunedin).
You go into another world of masked magic and puppetry, sari-silk backdrops and unbelievable character and costume changes – the cast is small, the characters extensive. Great audience there last night, very diverse. Great to see Mandy Rowe, of Otumoetai College’s Drama Department with 30 students. Go if you can because this is a unique theatre experience from a unique theatre company. Want more information? Go to ARTbop’s facebook page and listen to the conversations Dhaivat Mehta and I had with Jacob Rajan (Founder, Director and actor) and Nisha Madhan (actor and musician) of Indian Ink Theatre Company about Kiss the Fish. Got friends in Gisborne? Share our facebook content with them!!
