William Bruning is a Yr 7 student attending Tauranga intermediate. William’s hobby is to create Lego animation videos. His videos are truly amazing and unique.
William not only makes Lego animations but Plasticine and Bionicle animations as well. These animations are extremely time-consuming as there is 13 frames per second! This means for a two to three-minute long video there are almost three thousand pictures!
William is self-taught though he has some help from animation books and his Father. Being self-taught he has had to adapt his techniques and style to improve his videos. William has started his own YouTube channel called MegaWillbot this is where he uploads and shares his videos. He now has over 10,000 views and 44 subscribers!
My favourite video is “I Hate Mondays” I find it is very funny as it talks about the stresses of work. This video is three minutes long and took 2,395 frames to make. William spent weeks making it but all his hard work definitely paid off.
My other Favourite video is called “Toxic Cereal of Death” he has created this video for his Mum who is raising awareness about the consequences of using insecticides. William admires Peter Jackson and his films and hopes that one day he will become a movie director.
William is very talented and this is shown through some amazing and unique videos. I highly recommend that you check out his YouTube channel (MegaWillbot) and watch his videos.
