Last Sunday afternoon saw Diane at the Lyceum Club on First Avenue, Tauranga as part of a group supporting the launch of Tauranga author, Lyndsay Morgan’s book ‘Baby on Board – Mum is Driving’. Here’s Diane’s comment for ARTbop.
A practical book written for new mums by Lyndsay Morgan, a Karitane Nurse and now author who lives in Tauranga. The book has lovely hand drawn illustrations by Emma Frederickson in a simple palette of colours. The clean design of the book with it’s great title, unique ringbinding and easy to follow advice is sure to be a winner.
As the mother of a non-sleeping second child, who lived in the country with no close neighbours, I would have loved a book like this. At the launch many of the parents whose photos with their babies featured throughout the book, recounted their experiences with Lyndsay. She sounded like a lifesaver at a difficult time when they had multiple births or problems with feeding or sleeping their babies.
Lyndsay advocates a strict routine and do’s and don’t’s such as never taking your baby for a car ride to go to sleep!
For any pregnant mothers or new mothers and yes grandmothers too, this book is one that will definitely be passed around the family. www.lyndsaymorgan.co.nz
